Ugh, I saw this. I would say her "cover" is an insult to PJ. She's desended into self parody, its just awful out of tune yelling. Why would you ruin one of the best songs in the world?

That cover is frighteningly awful.

I really could have done a better cover than that. I'm so glad Polly's voice is still in top form after all these years.

Credit to her for covering a song by someone she admits has always towered over her, but what a sacrilege. Not a good choice of song given the spare "arrangement" & the state of her voice. She could've pulled off something like "The Mystery of Love" or maybe even "I Think I'm a Mother" but not this.

SOHN on twitter:

Wish there was more @PJHarveyUK music in the world so I could continue this binge-listening session.

Savages' Jehnny Beth talks about her 'dear friend' Polly. Polly apparently reads her lyrics and corrects them with a red pen. LOL
I love Savages but she could use the proof-reading: https://itunes.apple.com/us/post/idsa.b ... 1d7d6a4053

Andrew Bird
Another highlight, "Left Handed Kisses," pairs Bird with singer Fiona Apple, who brings a real intensity to the song with her woozy vocals. "It was indeed intense," Bird says. "We went through a bunch of options of who we could get. I knew the voice had to have a real weight to it. Unless we're going to somehow get PJ Harvey, it had to be Fiona. She completely threw herself into it. She brought a weight and heaviness and drama and performance."

Peter Garrett - Midnight Oil
P.J. Harvey's The Wheel, and Shipbuilding, recorded by Elvis Costello and written by Robert Wyatt are poignant songs of the futility of war and conflict that come to mind after watching the news.

The PJ Harvey record is wonderful. The last time I bought a record that was number one was probably Bad by MJ ⭐️

Elton John's going to play some PJ in his rocket hour show this week - where 'he plays new songs from some of his favorite artists, and old hits'.https://mobile.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/bro ... 8850446279

Also, Iggy Pop played "Rid Of Me" in his 'rockin rebels' BBC show a little while ago.
