I found someone's photo on Twitter of the signed lyric print featuring the lyrics to "We Float" - are there any pictures floating around of the lyric prints for previous demo albums?

Spoiler! :

There aren’t any lyric prints for the other demo albums. This was the first one she’s done this for.

Ah okay, for some reason I thought every limited/signed edition featured a lyric print.

Just listened to the demo SFTCSFTS all the way through.

It is an absolutely crystalline work of genius.

I love that all the album covers are available online in great quality - 3000x3000 for most! I love seeing them in these huge sizes after seeing most of them only on CD for years. I never noticed before that the 'Stories' cover was shot on film!

Yeah, Maria has only ever worked with film, but especially 20 years ago, it would have still been the standard for most things, if I recall correctly.

Ships on or around April 30

I just noticed there is no demo for "You Come Through", that's weird!
Also No Child of Mine (but that's not weird) and "Cat On the Wall" are missing, but the latter has been already out as "97 Degrees"

Yeah, I wonder why they left these two out (especially since they both feature Rob Ellis's drumming so the demos were presumably somewhat different from the final product).

"The Slow Drug" and "The Desperate Kingdom of Love" will probably be just the album versions, right? Maybe slightly different mixing.

This really puzzles me, cause the 4-track version of 'Who the Fuck?' was also released as a B-side, as '97 Degrees', and it's included here. Plus I think the same as TheNightingale, 'The Slow Drug' and 'The Desperate Kingdom of Love' will most likely be the same recordings that ended in the album, so I don't understand how 'You Come Through' would be left out even if PJ played drums herself and was the same as the album too. Again, all this repetition of final tracks between the demos and the albums brings a little nonsense to these releases. Also, I would have thought that a demo for 'No Child of Mine' would exist specially being something that she presented to Marianne Faithfull (I always thought that the fragment in the album was a fragment of an actual demo).

It is surprising that You Come Through is missing. I've always thought it was one of the better tracks on UHH and she played it a lot on the tour. She even closed with it at:

2004-12-16 BBC MAIDA VALE STUDIO 3 ('KEEPING IT PEEL' - JOHN PEEL TRIBUTE) - LONDON, U.K.
Set List- Horses In My Dreams / Fountain / You Come Through.

If I recall correctly she wrote this around the time her grandmother passed so maybe she considers it too personal? Or maybe there were technical issues with the original demo.

What a real shame You Come Through is missing from the Uh Huh Her demo album. Maybe there isn't
a demo for it? Seems unlikely.... maybe the recording is missing? Just throwing in ideas other than the ones already suggested.
I absolutely love the cover art for the album, nice colours.

Yeah, I suppose the original demo tape being damaged or lost is a quite likely reason for the omission of the song.

"Stories" sounds great. There's a few songs that don't pop as much as I'd like - "Whores" and "Big Exit" being two of them but I think that also comes down to mastering choices. So happy to finally have this one on vinyl!
