That's too bad! Can you tell us the retailer's name?

Amazon. So that's probably why!

“Angelene,” a somber monologue sung from the perspective of the “prettiest mess you’ve ever seen,” (...)

And what of the 15-second “Angelene (Research Hook)” that backed up the original song’s single and isn’t even on YouTube? Perhaps she’s saving those for some later reissue or perhaps it’s just part of the mystery.

Coming from a music reporter, from Rolling Stone no less, it's a little silly to leave 'Angelene (Research Hook)' as a mystery for everyone instead of doing a little research to find out what it is, which is just a snippet of a recognisable part of the song for radio hosts to use (there's another like that on a 'You Said Something' promo). Also silly is the fact that he says it "isn't even on Youtube", as if Youtube was a universal and infallible library for anything that ever existed. I find this so unprofessional and childish.

I would think so. Either tomorrow morning/afternoon (UK/eastern US time) or Thursday same time. All the pre-orders have gone up Thursdays if I’m not mistaken, and always immediately the day after a new YouTube video for one of the demos has gone live. In this case it’s “This Mess We’re In” (BLAH—I’m guessing it was picked to go first because it’s the most popular song on the album, sadly, but at least it won’t have Thom Yorke)...

This will be available to watch later today / tonight depending where you live.

Doh - just refreshed kontraband site and the new demos vinyl is up, and the signed ones sold out - at 3.13. Have ordered unsigned one, but my hit rate of two has not been great with the signed ones so far!

I thought the most popular one was Good Fortune, maybe it was chosen because it fits the global mood?
Probably I'm reading too much into this but after listening to it, I feel a renewed connection to the lyrics

It’s her most popular song on Spotify, and her second most popular on Apple Music. (The reverse is true for Down By The Water.) No doubt it is only because of Thom Yorke that it’s so popular—it’s an album track that was never released as a single and only played live a couple of times, and then never again. It’s fairly unremarkable as a composition when compared to the rest of the album.

Seems Universal is just releasing the demo versions of her currently most-streamed songs ahead of the releases of the full albums (with the exception of Angelene; The Wind is far more popular—for some odd reason—than Angelene but its demo was released second). The next push tracks from the Stories... demos are Good Fortune (Feb. 1), followed by This Is Love (Feb. 25, the day before the full album demos are released). That’s the order of the studio tracks’ popularity on Spotify.

^ The Wind's streams on Spotify skyrocketed after it was used in Big Little Lies on HBO, I think.

Ah, thanks. I knew it had to have been something like that.
