Post subject:  Polly's Island master tapes lost in 2008 UMG fire?

UMG had a disastrous fire in 2008 that incinerated many one of a kind master recordings. I wonder if Polly's master tapes were among those moved elsewhere before the fire...or not?

Wow. How sad that all those masters were lost. Can't believe they managed to keep something like this quite for over a decade.

Good lord. Hopefully they at least had them transferred to digital before the fire?

I know Polly had Steve Albini transfer Rid Of Me to digital several years ago. He also said any future reissues of RoM (including vinyl) would be from the digital files (not because the tape was lost in a fire, mind you).
