A rehearsal in London, May, either is wrong info or she is bringing that colossus with her all around, interesting I would say as her stage is often so "bleak"
In conjunction with the praising comments about the sound quality of the show from Geoff Barrows of Portishead (I may have butchered his name), I'm wondering if there is a primarily acoustical correcting element to the geometric design of the background. It reminds me of some acoustical tiles I've seen. Some combination of absorption and diffusion, for example.
Moving from venue to venue, there's not too much an artist can do to improve the acoustics, but the stage background is the one thing you probably could exert some control over if you're willing and financially able to give it some proper attention.
I suspect the "colossus" can be deconstructed square by square for tidier and less expensive transportation.
