Polly is writing new material for her next project. Will we see a return to her signature guitar-orientated rock style or something in a similar vein to White Chalk/Let England Shake?

Something entirely different, if we're lucky.

I always wondered what would happen if she used Rob Ellis more closely as an arranger... he's a great arranger for string instruments and I think it would make for some wrenching music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX94EG7dI-g

Yeah, I hope she gets back togther with Rob, but you have to wonder if that snippet in the Please Leave Quietly DVD where he says "I hope I never see any of these people again" was left in by Maria (and Polly) intentionally.

I have really enjoyed the White Chalk/Let England Shake era with the country landscape/England/political theme but I hope for something totally different now. I loved the autoharp at first but a bit sick of it now.

I would love if she did something that was more theatrical like "A more mature version of TBYML". Haha i don´t know if that make sense but I just think that the three last album has been (more or less) kinda sophisticated so it would be cool with a record that was a bit more "inappropriate".

Would be cool with a more raw record too, like new 4-track demos.

Anything but the autoharp and high pitched voice please.

I hope for something jazzy and electronic, with voice samples and more Polly on sax!

I was just thinking the other day that she should explore that opera style technique again. Wouldn't that be interesting to hear? ;)

Didn't Polly say, in an interview, that 'Let England Shake' is the first of a trilogy of albums? Maybe the next album will be covering the same subject matter as 'Let England Shake' or something close.

I'd like to see Rob Ellis involved again. I would just love Johnny Marr to work with Polly. Her writing, his jangly guitar melodies...

I would also love to hear Polly on sax. Have been searching for ages for a video or just a soundclip where she plays it, with no success

She does.
Well, the only thing I want is a completely new sound, as for each album even if it must get harder and harder to make different stuff.
Though, an album as depressing as Is This Desire? would be nice.

I want sth purely electronic or close to that...
like a deeper experimentation of what she started with (the flawless) Is this desire?

Its too early? I dont know
but I really really want to listen that she is working on a new studio album..
