Hello, How did you put a photo in your avatar? I was trying to upload my old avatar, but I don't have the option to upload images in my Panel Control :tear:

Did you try going to Control Panel>Profile>Edit Avatar? (I was a bit lost at first myself to be honest :P )

Or is the problem that you are not getting that option at all?

you have to upload your picture on some site (for example postimage.org), then copy and paste the link to the photo in your Panel Control.

I turned on the board avatar function, it was turned off. We're a little concerned about filling up the server, but we'll see how it goes. I've set the size limits to 200w x 300h and 16kb. The settings can be a little harder to find because there are more options! But see if you can find it.

Is there a way we can boost up the avatar size limit, kb wise?

We can, but like HaHW said we're concerned about the size of our database, so we recommend people who want bigger avatars to use the option to link to off-site images. You can easily host images using the "Add image to post" feature. :)

Thanks, I am being cautious here. I believe I set limits that are larger than the old board, but if people want animated gifs it would be better if they used an off site host.

ETA: I was wrong, I made the file size smaller than the old board.

It's bigger now, about 24kb.

^^ Yeah, i thought it was weird that it was 15.6 when the old one was 18kb.
Thanks so much for fixing it!!

When I go into my user controlpanel I can change my style. It stays that way when I go on the forum afterwards.

However, once I logged off and log back on, I got the standard blue style again (and when I go into the user control panel I got my selected style again..) Strange!

The forum has a default style, fisubice. You will see that when you log in, but it should switch to your choice of styles after that.

Sometimes it does that, sometime I first have to go into the user control panel before my style becomes active. It isn't really a big problem though
