lol she really doesn't give a shit about Stories anymore.
That Leah line they quoted made me feel ill when I first listened to the song. I can't imagine how she was feeling recording that and dwelling on it.

Yet she regularly plays Big Exit live...
I'm a bit sad to see that album disavowed, after all it's what made me come to PJ, and I suspect I'm not the only one. I still enjoy listening to it a lot.

There's an interesting possible parallel with Captain Beefheart's career. In 1973-74 Don tried to be more commercial. The 2 albums made during that time are now known as his "tragic band" era. They aren't that bad though. Jack White covered the track "Party Of Special Things To Do" from one of the albums. In general however most Beefheart fans like the rougher material and disparage the tragic band stuff. Perhaps Polly now regards this as her similar era.
