The Borrower Arrietty - It was dull and disappointing. I mean, sure the use of water colors and use of beautiful artwork to show great landscapes and what not is pretty to look at, but as a full on movie? No. This could have been done in 30 minutes. Kinda like the super cheesy 80's cartoon! (The Littles if anyone cares to know what the hell I'm talking about lol )

I might consider checking out "Midnight in Paris" as it's playing at my local art house theater....

Watched "Amelie" again over the weekend, as we were picking out our favourite movies at work and when I picked this one and they asked me what it was about I couldn't remember!

Such a great film, fell in love with it all over again :-)

"Amelie doesn't think her neighbour is in a coma, she thinks she is getting all of her sleep out of the way in one go!"

"Machete" - I enjoyed it but it's probably an acquired taste!

Has anyoen seen the 'Kings Speech' - I'm wondering if it's as good as everyone said it was?

I thought the King's Speech was terrific, but it depends on your taste. I would hazard a guess, that if you like any of the Merchant Ivory films, you'll love the King's Speech. If you find MI films boring, you will probably be bored by the King's Speech too.

I couldn't name any Merchant Ivory films, that's not a good sign :-o

Haven't seen "Room with a view" or "Howard's End" - don't think I'm missing out on much though?

Lots of films get awards that aren't that great, but I will try "The Kings Speech" as I like Geoffrey Rush. Check out "Quills", it's bonkers but very good!

Transformers 3 - I was so bored. Oh so bored. Also, why must these movies be soooo long? 2.5 hours long? Why? It's a basic story.

What were you expecting?
It's a toy commercial...

Saw the latest X-men the other day.
Be warned! That, of course, is a comic

Haha, I wanted some mindless fun! But instead I got a whole lotta nothing for 2.5 long hours.

See, that movie was mindless fun. A few giant plot holes, but fun nonetheless! :green:
