I'll be having another first-time live experience on Saturday in Tarnów Poland: Julia Marcell.
though she's not quite top-notch (Polly-type) quality, this is a rather interesting artist.

here are some samples from her new album:

Paolo Nutini tonight in a one off special show - good to see "stars" can still have a heart :)

Quote:
PAOLO NUTINI ANNOUNCES GIG IN MEMORY OF BEVLEE JONES

The ONLY UK Paolo Nutini show in 2016 at the Newport Centre, Newport on Wednesday 20 July
PAOLO NUTINI will play a one-off show in the UK this year at the 2,000 capacity Newport Centre in NEWPORT, South Wales in memory of Bevlee Jones and in aid of her 13-year-old son - Ieuan Joel.

On 8th March, 34-year-old Mum, Bevlee Jones, passed away unexpectedly in the night, devastating family and friends. Her distraught 13-year-old son Ieuan Joel Jones took it upon himself to give his mum the best funeral possible. Bevelee was a huge Paolo Nutini fan, so Ieuan appealed to Paolo through Facebook, asking Paolo to play at his Mum’s funeral. Unfortunately, Paolo was away in Europe at the time but Paolo wanted to offer his support to Ieuan and his family.

Paulo Nutini
"When I heard of Ieuan's plea, it was with regret that I couldn't attend his mother’s funeral and do what he asked of me,” Paolo says. “I wanted to help him in any way that I could and I feel like a concert in aid of Ieuan himself and in memory of his dear mother was the right way to do so. Please come along on July 20th and join us in giving some love and support to the Jones family at this hard time”.
PAOLO NUTINI is announcing a one-off UK gig at a venue in Ieuan’s home town, Newport. Profits from the show will go into a trust fund set up for 13-year-old Ieuan Joel’s future.

Not upcoming, been and gone! I saw Ben Waters - Polly's cousin, for those who don't know - for the 3rd time, back in April. He had his son with him again, along with a band larger than Polly's - were there 13 of them? Can't remember! - on a stage no bigger than two full size snooker tables put together! Trying to outdo Polly on the band size? Was very good and very enjoyable as Ben always is. Great stories told too.
