With 254 replies in the original thread, it's time for thread #2. Here's a couple of one-offs that showed up in flickr today (as part of larger sets):

Got these from photobucket last night right before it tried to install a trojan (!) on my PC and my AV software kicked in.
I noticed right after that they took the site down. Scary. It was some sort of java-based trojan. |

Alright, reading more in that telecaster forum, it's jazz/blues/rock guitarist Ana Popovic:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Popovic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Udjmjc5EAE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPqchOVgQyA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyxqa4uYhDc
How come we can't actually embed YT objects in posts here? |

^ I've tried too. Even with HTML enabled, it comes out like this -
<object><param></param><param></param><embed></embed></object>
Even simple tables don't work -
<table><tr><td>Table Content</td></tr></table>
Either HTML may be turned off somewhere else or it's just not allowed at all. |

^ Yeah, I think she really can be mentioned in the same breath with Hendrix and SRV and Clapton, but it's all pretty familiar sounding. |

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..................
To me, that is just boring.
I'd much rather see/hear Mia Clarke shredding for Electrelane !!

Anyone else here love Electrelane? |

I thought indeed in this two guys when I saw her. Sure, you're right, they must be a deep reference for her. I've seen other Youtube videos and what really takes my attention, is that she plays very clean. Sound is clear and very precise. |

Yes - like a machine. With about as much emotional appeal.
(in my opinion !! ) |

^ Dunno, about that. She plays REALLY well and from what little I've seen she seems to play with plenty of enthusiasm, but to me it seems like there's nothing particularly innovative going on there.
Maybe it's just the genres she has chosen: "jazz/blues/rock".
At the end of the day, her music is sorta conventional sounding to me. She is a phenomenal player though. If she ever decides to veer off on her own direction, watch out. |

shes technically very good, but doesnt quite have that kind of natural magic that hendrix has in his playing. its nice to see a woman actualy playing a guitar properly, hopefully she can shut up all those idiots that say only guys can play guitar |

I wasn't looking for em. I just noticed the sheer skirt thing she's wearing, honest!

Finding a specific pic is the hard part, I'm looking, here's another I found along the way.

Well, I had no idea. But I found this page -
http://www.splean.org/pollysigh/pjpress.html
Which puts it as January, February 2001.
Your avatar is from the original Dry press kit!
I want the "Little Fish" hanky! |

ah thanks very much! that little fish hankercheif is seriously cool! I presume as all the press packs come up with the same colection of photos, that they just put all the press packs together, as all the photos seem to be from different eras |

^ Yeah, I noticed that. Well, there's no guarantee that any info on this page is accurate and I doubt that they used the same press pack for each era. |

no idea which show that picture is from? (not that it matters all that much, it's just that I use to store these pictures in separate folders, one for each show - so in case you would know, pray tell.)
really good pic, in any case. |

that one too, I presume.
why I shouldn't have to ask, since I was there myself and seated close enough (so that Polly's particular hair-style on that night ought to be easily recognized by my memory of it - but then she just might have sported a similar look in some of those shows where I was not present, which is why I can never be sure even when my memory remains good enough). |

as I click on these now, I get the message that they've been either moved or deleted. what a pity, I would have liked to get them full-size (or at least the one of them which I didn't have already). |

I rearranged things, but I didn't think I moved these. I should be able to fix it....
Well I'm not sure what happened but the links are fixed. You'll have to go back to the original post to get them though -

thanks, very interesting, Im a little confused anout wat he actually thinks of polly, he seems to just abuse her for the first half of the article, and then worship her near the end? interesting nonetheless |

that makes sense, in view of Polly's particular hairstyle in this picture (which doesn't really correspond to her appearance in Athens). yet I was thinking that, since you were seated in Athens at about the same distance whence this here picture was taken, it just could have been a product of your own camera (if you had one, which I'm not even sure of). |

it was in the period immediately preceding the Stories era, but I don't have knowledge of the precise weeks or months during which the recording of Tiffany Anders' album took place. could anybody give us this information? |

I've been wanting to post this forever now. Dunno if its right, but here goes:
I took this shot when PJ was standing in front of me at a club:
I felt HORRIBLE after taking it. I stood there debating for what felt like forever til I finally just took it. PJ didn't notice as she prolly thought I was trying to get a shot of the band that was playing |

I think we'd all be torn about what to do if we were in the same situation. I think any of us as fans would love to say something to her, but at the same time would not want to intrude.
There is also the distinct possibility that she would not be in the mood for a fan encounter.. |

Well, get this...After the show, my friends and I ran into Dingo while we were going to my car...and he was very vocal about PJ's mood that night(and flirting mercilessly with a friend of mine). Suffice it to say, a certain someone was on her period that night and not really feeling that, um, great... haha :P I still dunno why he felt the need to tell us that. |

My God. I've never really seen a picture like this; Polly and audience in the same frame with lights on and all. It’s got to be the best picture I've ever seen; I love pics like this. Somehow, it just makes me think of the feeling you get when you see the shark from Jaws and people in the same frame on screen. To be that close to someone so powerful. At least in performance. |

I've always liked this picture. The range of expressions on the fans' faces is hilarious. The girl 2nd from the bottom looks totally mesmerized. |

LOL, and the guy second from the top looks blissed out - or something.
The angle is interesting, side balcony?
I snagged this from PJH.net some years ago. |
